Very sorry to read about The Decision having to be made. Been there, done that... and it's never fun, not even when you know that it's the only option. Anyone who tries to tell you animals feel no pain or have no souls or cannot possibly be waiting on The Other Side has never truly known an animal in their life. He's free now, and he still loves you, and he will be there.
Hang in there, and give yourself time and space to Let Go.
